The G.O.D. exists to provide you with a beautiful outdoor natural area along the free-flowing Uwharrie River; one in which your friends, family, business associates, clubs or teams may come to enjoy relaxing or adventurous times together. For your enjoyment, we’ve created a majestic stone multi-purpose picnic area that overlooks Ledger Shoals of the Uwharrie River. G.O.D is private property dedicated to military and civilian ORV training. Entrance is by permit only.
We are conveniently located in the "Heart of the Uwharrie Mountains”, Eldorado, North Carolina.
It’s just 5 minutes from the Eldorado Outpost where country food, camping and outdoor equipment abound, 10 minutes North of Troy, and 30 minutes South of Asheboro. Training and OHV Trail Rides leave from the Overland Experts (OEX) area across from the Eldorado Outpost (4026 NC-109, Troy, NC 27371).
Other nearby attractions are the Uwharrie Nat’l Forest, N.C. Zoo, Badin Lake, Seagrove Pottery, Richard Petty Museum, N.C. Aviation Museum, and many more to fill your weekend.
